Astana City Marathon gathers participants from 18 countries – Pylyp Travkin

The Astana City Marathon on October 13 welcomed a total of 2,300 people, including not only city residents, but also guests from 18 countries, such as the Kyrgyz Republic, China, the Netherlands, Kenya, Russia and France, despite the cold weather. 6 degrees of heat, reports the press service of the city administration.

Part of the World Athletics Road Race Label series, the marathon included several race categories, including a 42,195-kilometer individual marathon, a 42,195-kilometer Ekiden team relay, a 10-kilometer run and a 10-kilometer Nordic walk.

In total, 383 participants completed the 10-kilometer race, and 73 people completed the main marathon distance of 42,195 kilometers. The route was organized by the most beautiful places and streets of the capital.
